About this tour
Ironbridge a small town located in the Ironbridge gorge in Shropshire. Located next to the town the famous Iron Bridge is situated, which is where the towns name derives from. The historical significance of the bridge is that it was the first major bridge in the world to be made from cast iron.
The destination is ideal if your studying British History and Industry with a great range of activities available to do with the subject areas such as Museum of Iron, Iron Bridge and Tollhouse, Blists Hill Open Air Museum and Acton Scott Historic Working Farm.
