Train at the football training centre of the Spanish National Team in Madrid!
The Spanish National Team training centre is known as La Ciudad del Fútbol and is a world-class football facility with high-quality on-site accommodation. It can be found in Las Rozas, less than 20 minutes from Madrid and since 2003, “The Football City” is the headquarters for the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Here is where “La Roja,” the Spanish National Team, train, sleep and prepare for all their tournaments! There are four 11-a-side football pitches (natural and synthetic grass) along with a 7-a-side synthetic grass pitch and an indoor arena. Players can expect high-level training sessions by excellent qualified coaches from the Spanish Football Federation. The Hotel SeFutbol is the players’ residence for under 15 teams to the international squad. It is open to the public if the teams’ commitments allow it. The hotel has 48 rooms, a table and swimming pool available for your group. This is an exceedingly popular football tour destination, and it tends to fill up very quickly. Sample Itinerary
Madrid can be reached with low-cost flights from many different airports within the UK. Tours are from 3 to 4 days on average.
A suggested 4-day itinerary might look like this:
- Day 1: Arrival at Madrid airport and transfer by coach to Hotel SeFutbol for 3 nights Full Board. Followed by the first training session lead by a Spanish Football Federation coach.
- Day 2: Second training session by a Spanish Football Federation coach. Optional visit to the Spanish National Museum, enjoy the swimming pool and have your first friendly match VS local team.
- Day 3: Visit to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (Real Madrid Stadium) and have lunch at San Miguel’s food market. Guided Tour of Madrid: including la Puerta del Sol, la Plaza Mayor, Madrid Royal Palace, and Templo de Deboh. Second friendly match VS local team.
- Day 4: Check out and transfer by coach to Madrid airport for the flight back home.
