The ATOL scheme (which stands for Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) is financial protection that protects you when you book a package trip that includes a flight. It is
separate to travel insurance.
ATOL protection covers you before and during your trip. When you purchase a trip that is ATOL protected, you will receive an ATOL Certificate.
It will show you who and what is covered, as well as provide guidance on what to do if your travel company stops trading as an ATOL holder.

Held by some of the leading providers of educational visits, the LOtC Quality Badge is endorsed by the Department for Education and the Outdoor Education Advisers’ Panel Cymru recommends schools use awarded providers for their educational trips.
The LOtC Quality Badge is the only scheme that recognises quality of learning and effectiveness of risk management and is awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.
Compliance of the STF code of practice is that we “maintain adequate insurance protection in the form of Tour Operators’ liability insurance cover with a minimum indemnity of £5 million per claim, and in the aggregate, each year, and…”
