Barcelona is Spain’s second city and with its range of amazing art galleries, unique architecture and historic monuments, this cultural hub is a great destination to inspire your students’ artistic flare. The architecture and art of Antoni Gaudí dominate the city and the Sagrada Familia cathedral is an ongoing tribute to his work and influence. The city is one of the top destinations in Europe if you are looking for trips to do with contemporary and modern art.
It will also allow your students to increase their knowledge about some of great Spanish artists with museums dedicated to Antoni Gaudí and Picasso highlighting some of the finest Spanish Art.

Sample Itinerary
We recommend a minimum 3-night, 4-day Itinerary. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
- Day 1: Fly direct to Barcelona, start your tour with a guided tour of some of Barcelona’s iconic architectural sites such as; Casa Batllo, Casa Mila “La Pedrera” and Basilica of the Sagrada Familia.
- Day 2: A day of exploring contemporary and modern art with visits to; Fundacio Joan Miro home to collection of contemporary art and a collection Joan Miro pieces, European Museum of Modern Art which houses figurative paintings and sculptures from 20th -21st century and Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Artwith around 5,000 artworks by mainly Spanish and Catalan artists with some international artists represented as well.
- Day 3: Start your day by exploring art produced by artists from the Catalonian region with a visit to the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya. Then visit the Picasso Museum which houses one of the most extensive collections by the Spanish Artist. Spend the afternoon exploring Park Güell with its stunning architectural elements and intricate gardens designed by Gaudí. While in the gardens visit the Casa Museu Gaudí which houses some of his designs and items linked to his life.
- Day 4: Depending on flight times, in the morning spend free time in the city soaking up the Spanish culture before you depart back to the UK. Groups can also do day visits to Girona or Reus.
