Dorset
About this tour
The county of Dorset located in the Southwest of England on the English Channel. An ideal destination for students to cover topics about the coast and sea biodiversity, with possible visits to Lulworth Cove, Durdle door and the Oceanarium.
The special character of the Dorset coastline is created by its own unusual geography of three bays separated by a jutting peninsular formation, with fossil-studded cliffs and rocky headlands.
Let your students become fossil hunters for an afternoon, a local expert will give a talk to your students about fossils and how to find them – which finishes with an exciting fossil hunt.
If your trip is curriculum-based, one of our tour managers will be happy to discuss your learning objectives with you. We want your group to achieve the best educational benefits from the tour, no matter how many subjects or topics you wish to cover and of course including the fun element.
