Football Tours to Asturias

Asturias can be reached with low-cost flights from London. Santander is less than 2 hours away and alternatively, there are direct flights from Bristol or Manchester to Bilbao (2h 45m).

Tours are from 4 to 5 days on average. A suggested 4-day itinerary might look like this:

A suggested 4-day itinerary:

• Day 1: Arrival at Asturias or Santander airport. Transfer by coach to Camping DEVA Gijón (subject to availability) and be coached by an ex-professional footballer.
• Day 2: Spend the morning in Gijón. Have your packed lunches at the top of Catalina del Cerro looking over the sea. Guided Tour of the oldest professional Spanish Football Stadium, El Molinón! and play your first friendly match VS local team. Evening meal in a local restaurant where you would try a culinary jewel “cachopo” among other traditional Asturian delicacies!
• Day 3: Visit to Oviedo in the morning and enjoy your packed lunches over the Bear Path, followed by a bike excursion to meet the bears living there! Play the second match against a local team and afterwards enjoy the swimming pool at your accommodation.
• Day 4: Check out and have an optional Spanish lesson in Avilés or visit its old quarter. Flight back home.

• Camping DEVA Gijón: 1st category campsite situated in Gijón with bungalows and Provençal style log cabins available. Facilities include sports areas, swimming pool, games room, mini market, etc. (Security guard also available to look after your group during the night).
• Hostel Casa de la Montaña: A lovely Asturian style House near to Picos de Europa National Park with 13 rooms distributed in single and twin rooms for the staff and 4-6-8 bedded rooms for the youth players.
