Lisbon Fashion Tour
About this tour
Lisbon may not have a famous fashion week or home to world renowned brands, but it plays an important role in the fashion industry’s manufacturing/production of garments and accessories. Your students will be able to experience this for themselves with a visit to the House of Eleh a small Portuguese shoe maker who has been making shoes since 1840. There is also a possibility to visit a factory to experience the mass production of garments in the fashion industry.
The city is home to a couple of great attractions that’ll increase your students’ knowledge about the history of fashion with visits to the Museu do Design e Da Moda and Museu Nacional do Traje e da Moda.
They house collections containing national and international pieces dating back to the eighteenth century and all the way up to the twentieth century. Lisbon is a brilliant destination to take students on a fashion trip as it allows them to learn about all the areas of fashion; design, production and history as well experiencing the beautiful city and Portugal culture.
