Sonam Therchen

An enthusiastic entrepreneur with over 15 years in the travel and tourism industry. My career has been marked by a strong work ethic, high standards, and leadership, leading to multiple promotions. In 2011 I was at the helm of Travels in Bhutan and am a lifetime member of the Guide Association of Bhutan, where I worked to enhance tour guide professionalism. In 2019 I also served as the Country Chapter leader for The International Ecotourism Society.

I have had the privilege of guiding notable figures such as the Tongan monarch (2012), the Canadian Chief Justice, and other distinguished dignitaries and clients. I have also pursued various training programs in mental health and hospitality management.

My expertise in planning travel to Southeast Asia including India, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet, and China has brought me to Rondo Travel as the Specialist Tours Manager. Here, I continue to utilise my customer service skills, work ethic, and teamwork abilities.

Outside of work, I enjoy literature, writing, and building connections. I also indulge in photography and charitable activities in my free time.
