About this tour
Amsterdam is a delightful and compact historic city with more canals than Venice and more bridges than Paris. The central core of the city combines tree lined canals, 17th Century Dutch architecture, art galleries and museums – more than enough to captivate your art students.
The city offers a vast selection of art to view from the Dutch masters Vincent Van Gogh and Rembrandt to a rich selection of street art with exhibitions by artists such as Banksy featuring. The Dutch liberalism will also help your students to develop and inspire their artistic creativity, in this cosmopolitan city.
Sample Itinerary
We recommend a minimum 3-night, 4-day Itinerary. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
- Day 1: Take the overnight ferry to Rotterdam or Ijmuiden.
- Day 2: Transfer to Amsterdam by coach. Start your day with visits to two modern & contemporary art museums, the Moco Museum and Stedelijk Museum. Later, taking a canal cruise is a fantastic way to relax and see the sights of the city.
- Day 3: Start your morning with a visit to the Van Gogh Museum which houses the largest collection of his art in the world. After visit, the Rijks museum which houses collections about the art and History of the Netherlands. Visit to Anne Frank’s house one of the most discussed victims of the holocaust. Transfer to Rotterdam or Ijmuiden for overnight ferry back to UK.
- Day 4: Arrive back in UK and depart for home.
