Other Visits and Excursions
- Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg): The Elbphilharmonie Hamburg is truly a building of superlatives and has set itself the goal of becoming one of the ten best concert halls in the world. The fact that it has the best chances to get there is not only due to the spectacular architecture, but also to the unique acoustics.
- The Hamburg Fish Market: Half the jungle is sold here directly in the pot and from lorries, bananas fly, plastic bags full of sausage go for a ridiculously low price, you must experience it (and it is worth getting out of bed early once to do so)!
- Munich’s green oases: Explore one or all of Munich’s green oases such as the hilly Olympiapark, idyllic Luitpoldpark or picturesque Westpark.
- Olympiastadion Stadium Tour (Berlin): Visit the famous Berlin Olympic Stadium, home of the 1936 Olympics, for an escorted one-hour tour (Capacity of 74,475).
- The Holocaust Memorial (Berlin): Close to the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag is the impressive memorial to the fallen Jews. Walking amongst these towering blocks of varying heights on undulating ground certainly provokes thought and reflection.
- The Wall (Berlin): There are traces of the wall throughout the city, and it is possible to follow for much of its length marked by brass studs set in the pavement.
