About this tour
Athens one of the world’s oldest cities which has been inhabited for over 5000 years. It was the leading city during Ancient Greek period, which has resulted in it providing opportunities you would not find anywhere else in world when discovering the history of this advanced civilization.
The city has managed to successfully preserve several of the ruins, the Acropolis been the main site is home to several famous ruins such as the iconic Pantheon.
Your students will be able to further their knowledge on all aspects of the Ancient Greek civilization while on a tour as we can include a variety of different visits, which will touch on the different areas from everyday civilian life to war and politics during the period.

Sample Itinerary
We recommend a minimum 3-night, 4-day Itinerary. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
- Day 1: Fly direct to Athens, start your tour with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum which is home to one of the world’s richest collections of Greek antiquities in the world.
- Day 2: You will have a guide with you all day as you visit some of the ancient Greek sites. It could include visits to the following sites; Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Hadrian’s Library, Temple to Olympic Zeus, Temple of Hephaistos, Kerameikos Cemetery, and the North & South slopes of the Acropolis.
- Day 3: In the morning visit the Benaki Museum which houses several exhibits highlighting the cultural and historical development of the Greek nation. Early in the afternoon take an audio guided tour of the Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world made entirely out of marble. Later, visit the Athens War Museum which has array of exhibitions detailing the history of war in Greece and various other civilizations.
- Day 4: Depending on flight times, learn more about the modern history of Greece with a visit to the National Historical Museum which houses a collection of historical items from the 15th century up to the second world war.
Athens also presents several opportunities to visit the nearby islands of Aegina, Hydra and Andros.
