Valencia, the 3rd largest city in Spain, is internationally known to be one of the best hockey centers in the country and hosts international events and training camps from National teams to schools or clubs from across the world.
This centre is where Team GB’s gold medal winning team trained, competed, and qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Valencia Hockey Federation has a 1st class blue pitch (Astroturf System 5) which was the same surface used at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. The attentive staff will welcome you and arrange matches against similar standards of local opposition. You can also be coached by one of the best hockey coaches in Spain.
This is the perfect place to enjoy the sunny climate and vibrant city whilst combining practice sessions or friendly matches with some cultural activities like eating paella, visiting the magnificent City of Arts and Sciences, or spending an afternoon strolling along the Malvarrosa beach.

Sample Itinerary
A suggested 4-day itinerary might look like this:
- Day 1: Flight and arrival in Valencia or Alicante. Private coach transfer to your accommodation and guided tour of Valencia city centre.
- Day 2: Be coached by Valencia Hockey Federation staff, spend the afternoon on Malvarrosa Beach and enjoy your first match against a team from Valencia Hockey Federation academy or a Valencia hockey club.
- Day 3: Half day visiting the City of Arts and Sciences, eat an authentic Valencia paella at Albufera Natural Parkand second match against local opposition.
- Day 4: Training on the blue pitch, transfer by private coach to Valencia or Alicante airport and flight back home.
