Sample Itinerary
A suggested 4-day itinerary might look like this:
- Day 1: Flight and arrival in Malta. Private transfer to your accommodation and free time at leisure to explore the surroundings.
- Day 2: Morning: Visit the capital city of Malta, Valletta and its beautiful Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens.
- Day 3: Morning: Harbour Cruise viewing the sights of the Maltese coast.
Afternoon: Second match against Maltese opposition.
- Day 4: Before heading to the airport, visit Mdina Old City. Flight back to the UK.

- Maltese Coastal Pleasure Cruise: A perfect opportunity to see Malta from a different angle from its picturesque coastline made up of bays and rugged cliffs to the fortifications found around Valetta and the three cities.
- Mdina Old City: The ancient city is over 4,000 years old and said to be the city the Apostle St. Paul lived in after being shipwrecked on the island. Explore the city with a guide and visit attractions such as; The Roman Villa and St. Paul’s Grotto.
- Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens: The popular gardens, especially the Upper Barrakka Garden, offer stunning views with a beautiful, landscaped garden which has numerous statues and monuments located in it.
Other Visits and Excursions
- Malta Falconry Centre: When visiting the Falconry Centre, you can take part in several activities from experiencing a falconry show performed by its impressive aviary collection to educational sessions about the birds.
- Malta National Aquarium: The aquarium made up of 26 display tanks displays fish you can typically find in the Mediterranean Sea and particularly around Malta. The tanks also display replicas of historical artefacts you can find in the seas surrounding the Maltese Islands.
- Lascaris War Rooms: The War rooms are made up of tunnels and chambers underground. In the second world war it housed the War Headquarters which is where the defence of the island was run.
- National Museum of Archaeology: The Museum housed in the Auberge de Provence which was designed by local architect Ġilormu Cassar. It has an extensive collection of artefacts from Malta dating from 5000 BC to 400 BC.
- Popeye Village Malta: The original set for the 1980 musical production of ‘Popeye’ is now a fun filled attraction with several fun activities available such as mini golf, or you can simply just explore the set.
- Mediterraneo Marine Park: The marine park offers animal presentations. The different presentations include; Dolphins, Parrots, and sea-lions. Why not visit the parks aviary and feed the birds?

- NSTS Campus Residence & Hostel: This has been recently refurbished, has a bright fresh look and it is located on Msida, a port city in northeastern Malta.
- Seashells Resort at Suncrest: This overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is located within the well-known tourist location of Qawra and St. Paul’s Bay.
