Northern Ireland Geography Tour
About this tour
Northern Ireland a land of stunning green valley’s cut out by glaciers to the rugged coastline with blue flag beaches. The Northern Irish coast is a great destination to cover geology, human and physical geographical topic areas. One activity we highly recommend is conducting a coastal investigation study on Portstewart Strand, a designated Area of Special Scientific Interest, to learn about the conservation measures in place and the effect they are having. There are many geographical marvels along the coast waiting for you to discover them from natural arches and stacks at Whiterocks beach, to one of the UK’S finest natural wonders and one of the world’s most famous examples of columnar jointing the Giant’s causeway made up of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.
