This youth cricket tour is a once in a lifetime experience!
India is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-most populous country (with over 1.2 billion people), and the most populous democracy in the world. It is renowned for cricket, which is, in fact, the most popular and loved sport in the country by far.
Suggestions And Ideas for Visits and Excursions
Each group will have its own special interests and curricular needs. That is why every visit can be completely tailored to you. You will find some suggestions below, but you can always call us to discuss more options.
Sample Itinerary
This a suggested 11-night tour to Delhi. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
Direct flights of an approximate duration of 8h 30min are available and Delhi’s time zone is 4 hours and 30 minutes ahead of GMT (Greenwich Time).
A suggested 4-day itinerary might look like this:
- Day 1: Arrival at Delhi. Meet and greet. Check in at accommodation and half day sightseeing (weather permitting).
- Day 2: Practice and exposure to professional cricketing techniques. This includes classroom tips and hands-on techniques introduced to the players. The actual playing style and shortcomings will be assessed by coaches. A full day of batting and bowling practice will ensure that the coaches keenly monitor any deficiencies in the respective game of individual players.
- Day 3: Improvement tips, correction of techniques and its physical demonstration: holding the bat, shot directional technique, ball holding etc. Correction tips on batting and bowling.
- Day 4: A 20 over match based on the T20 style fixed between your team and a team of the respective age group. This match will be played at a venue of National standard approved by the Delhi Cricket Association in a playground exclusively hired for the match. The match will be assisted by proper ground staff and two umpires (duly approved DCA empanelled umpires).
- Day 5: Start the day by visiting Akshardham temple, Rajghat, the Gandhi Memorial and old Delhi. Optional Rickshaw ride. Return to accommodation in the evening.
- Day 6: Play a friendly match against another team as per fixed program and hone your skills.
- Day 7: Take a 60 Km ride to a famous willow bat manufacturing factory, followed by local sightseeing.
- Day 8: Get your certificate and honoring: A classroom session with the coach and general game improvement tips along with distribution of certificates.
- Day 9: Half day sightseeing covering the Raj Ghat passed through Red Fort, India Gate, the President House, the Qutub Minar. Visit to Taj Mahal, the most beautiful symbol of love. Overnight stay in Agra.
- Day 10: Visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, where you can see the glow of Taj Mahal in the changing light of the rising Sun. Guided sightseeing tour of Agra: visiting Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah’s tomb. Transfer to Jaipur, check in to the hotel & rest. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
- Day 11: Start visiting Fatehpur Sikri (Old Deserted town of Mughal Dynasty), Jama Masjid, The Buland Darwaza, Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhavan & Panch Mahal. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
- Day 12: Visit to Amer Fort and enjoy the ride on an Elephant’s back. Pass through Hawa Mahal, followed by city sightseeing of Jaipur. Visit to City Palace; the residence of the erstwhile Rajput rulers, Jantar Mantar; one of the 5 observatories built by the former ruler of Amber, Jai Singh (It is the largest of all) and Govind Devji Temple; the most popular temple of Jaipur, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Drive back to Delhi and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

- Swaminarayan Akshardham: The Akshardham is a Hindu Temple created by his Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and opened in 2005. As well as being a working temple it has exhibitions, thematic gardens and an evening water show which you may get to experience whilst on your visit.
- Taj Mahal: The mausoleum was built to house the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal the favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shan Jahan in the 1600’s. It has since become an iconic symbol of India and became one of the New 7 Wonders of the World in 2007.
- Amber Fort: The fort in its current form dates to 1592 and was once the capital of the Jaipur state. Its architecture is an impressive fusion of Rajput and Mughal styles. The fort became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013.
Other Visits and Excursions
- Madame Tussauds Delhi: The world-famous wax museum chain opened a museum in Delhi in 2017. It provides a wonderful opportunity to view realistic life size wax figures of famous individuals with cricket legends Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar on display.
- National Gandhi Museum: The museum is dedicated to showing the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum has a collection of paintings and personal items which belonged to Gandhi.
- Elephant Ride in Jaipur: A breathtaking experience take a ride on an Asian Elephant up the hill to the entrance of the Amber Fort.
- Museum of Gem and Jewellery Federation: The museum is dedicated to the history of gem and jewellery trade in Jaipur with the city often referred to as the ‘city of gems’ to learn about heritage through the dazzling exhibits on display.
