Ypres, the perfect base for your dance tour.

All of our dance tours are created from scratch to match up with your genre of dance.

To get the best audience possible we recommend outside performances wherever possible in this are to catch the interest of passers by.

Accommodation

We work closely with the owner of four hostels in Ypres, all designed to accommodate school groups. Our offer will depend on availability at the time of booking, so the sooner you book the more chance you have of having your first-choice accommodation.

Some of these options offer opportunity to rehearse subject to availability.

Menin Gate Hostel

This simple hostel is well run and ideally placed across the road from the Menin Gate.

The other hostels in the group are all located around the town centre and only five minutes’ walk from the Menin Gate.

Sample Itinerary

Ypres is only one and a half hours from Calais so your first day will depend very much on your departure point and the time it takes you to get to Dover/Folkestone. Below is a suggested 3 night / 4 day itinerary.

Day 1

Travel to Ypres – overnight with dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2

Half day tour including a visit to Tyne COT Cemetery

Afternoon outside performance in Ypres Square which is always a busy venue.

Free time followed by early evening meal in Ypres restaurant

Involvement in laying a wreath at the Last post Ceremony in Ypres ( which happens every single day )

Day 3

Short journey across to Lille and a dance workshop with one of the many dance studios available in the area – choice is dependent on genre of dance.

Free time for a little shopping in the centre of Lille

Evening meal back in Ypres

Evening performance in one of the accommodation venues in Ypres.

Day 4

Depart and morning visit to la Couple

Afternoon travel home via Calais
