Berlin History Tour
About this tour
Berlin the city which has been the focal point in Europe’s recent history from been the headquarters of the Nazi regime to the division of the city between the West and Soviet Union. This has led to it been a great destination to visit when covering the subject areas of the WWll and the Cold war.
As there are so many visits and landmarks for each of the subject areas, we can create an itinerary to focus purely on one area or one which includes the essential visits to cover both areas. One essential visit we recommend when covering the WWll topic is to Sachsenhausen concentration camp located just outside of Berlin it will allow your students to experience and learn about how the Nazi’s ran the camps, it is a sobering visit which no number of videos or books can replicate.
A must attraction we recommend when covering the Cold War topic is the Palace of tears, which will give your students a glimpse into what it was like for the citizens of the city been divided by the wall.
