Cosford RAF
About this tour
Cosford RAF Museum Exhibition
The Allied victory over Nazi Germany in 1945 marked the beginning of the Cold War. The Cold War was named after World War II because of the relationship between the USSR and USA. It dominated international affairs for decades, many crises occurred including ‘The Cuban Missile Crisis,’ ‘Vietnam,’ the division of Berlin and the infamous Berlin Wall to mention a few. The most worrying issue was the growth of weapons of mass destruction.
Royal Air Force Museum - Cosford
The National Cold War Exhibition at the RAF museum is housed in three Wartime Hangars with over 70 aircraft exhibited including the world’s oldest Spitfire and a Lincoln Bomber.
