Outstanding Secondary School Tours to Amsterdam
About this tour
Amsterdam, the perfect place for your Secondary School Tour
Amsterdam is a delightful and compact historic city with more canals than Venice and more bridges than Paris. The central core of the city combines tree lined canals, 17th Century Dutch architecture, art galleries and museums – more than enough to captivate your students.
The old city is contained within a ring of concentric canals with Dam Square at its centre. All the major attractions, museums and art galleries are close together and easily accessible on foot or by tram.
The many galleries provide a fantastic opportunity for art students to experience works of the Dutch masters. Social scientists and historians will also find much to interest them in and around the cosmopolitan Dutch capital.
Trips can be enhanced with excursions outside the city to see the impressive economic and geographical infrastructure of this country built below sea level.

Accommodation
Amsterdam can be notoriously expensive as hotels are happy to count on passing trade to fill their rooms, particularly in the city centre. But there are some great options for student groups at a more reasonable cost.
We will always try to work with the StayOkay group, who operate Holland’s official youth hostel network.
The two hostels we prefer are at the Vondelpark, close to Museum Square and so within walking distance of most attractions, and the superbly modernised Zeeburg hostel which is a short tram ride from the centre but well located in a quiet suburb.
