About this tour
The Blitz was a German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom during the Second World War in 1940 and 1941. The term Blitzkrieg originated from the German word meaning ‘lighting war’ which was termed by the British press.
London is a vibrant Capital city steeped in history, tradition, and culture from the West End with its theatres to the city dating from pre-Roman times to the arts and culture of the South Bank. There are many interesting and famous places to visit such as the Tower of London, the London Dungeon, the London Aquarium, Hampton Court Palace, the Cabinet War Rooms, Kew Gardens, the London Transport Museum, London Zoo, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Sample Itinerary
- Day 1: Depart school for London. Arrive in London and visit St Paul’s cathedral before your guided Blitz walking tour. Check into your accommodation for 1 night. Evening meal (optional evening excursion, London Eye / Theatre Show)
- Day 2: Check out and morning visit to Imperial War Museum. Afternoon visit to Churchill War Rooms. Return to school

- Thames Cruise: Cruise along the River Thames to see iconic London sights, including Big Ben, the London Eye, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, and the Tower of London.
