Moscow the centre point of recent Russian history from the Russian Revolution to the Cold War. It is an ideal destination to delve deep into the country’s past.
The experience allows your students to view history from a unique perspective instead of the usual western point of view. The Russians celebrate their history from its military victories to becoming a communist republic, there is detailed information on all areas.
The city presents a variety of sights and visits from Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral to visiting the Historical Park Russia – My History which details in depth the country’s history in three exhibits The Rurik Dynasty, The Romanov Dynasty, and Soviet History.

Sample Itinerary
We recommend a minimum 4-night, 5-day Itinerary. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
- Day 1: Fly direct to Moscow from London. Arrive in Moscow.
- Day 2: Start your trip with a guided tour of Moscow’s main historical sights which includes stops at Red Square, Tomb of unknown soldier, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and the Kremlin. In the afternoon visit the Historical Park Russia – My History where your guide from the morning will take you round two exhibitions The Romanov Dynasty exhibit and the Soviet era exhibit.
- Day 3: In the morning take a guided tour around the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre which details the history of Russian Jewry allowing your students to experience it from a Russian perspective. In the afternoon visit the Central Armed Forces Museum of Russian Federation the museum houses a collection of military equipment, memorabilia, weapons, equipment, uniforms, and armour from Mongol invasion of Russia to Russia’s currently military.
- Day 4: The day will start with a visit to the State Historical Museum which has an extensive collection of artefacts detailing the history of Russian Land’s from the Paleolithic period to the present day. In the afternoon visit the Victory Museum which houses detailed exhibits on Russia and the conflicts it has been in, though it primarily focuses on Russia’s role in WWII.
- Day 5: Depending on flight times, spend some free time exploring or visiting attractions like the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts or Museum of Cosmonautics before you return to the UK. Saint Petersburg is a great destination to combine with your visit to Moscow.
