Netball Tours to Gibraltar
About this tour
One of the most unique destinations in the Mediterranean is Gibraltar.
This British Overseas Territory, with a population of around 30,000 people, is distinguished by the most famous landmark in the region, the Rock of Gibraltar. It is located at the southern tip of Spain, where mild winters and warm summers prevail. The official language is English although a mixture of English and Spanish is spoken in casual conversation. A warm welcome is always assured! Netball is played both indoors and outdoors depending on the season and has become the leading ladies’ team sport with 16 teams in their junior league, making it the most popular sport for girls on the Rock! The main sports facilities are the multi-purpose Victoria Stadium and the Tercentenary Sports Centre. It is also played at international schools, which makes this region one of the best netball tour destinations! A Netball tour is often combined with other sports tours like hockey, cricket and / or football and short flights are available either to Málaga or Gibraltar.

- Cable Car: Gibraltar Cable Car is an aerial tramway in Gibraltar. The base station of the cable car is near the southern end of Main Street, next to Alameda Gardens.
- Apes of Gibraltar: The Gibraltar Barbary macaques are the only free-to-roam primates in Europe and are considered by many to be the top tourist attraction in Gibraltar. The most popular troop is that of Queen's Gate at the Apes' Den, where people can get especially close to the monkeys. They will often approach and sometimes climb onto people, as they are used to human interaction.
