North Yorkshire Geography Tour
About this tour
The region of North Yorkshire is the largest county in England and famous for its picturesque countryside and natural features. The county is a great destination to choose when looking for a destination to conduct a geology trip.
It has a wide selection of geological features from the Cretaceous chalk cliffs at Flamborough head to the Carboniferous limestone weathering at Malham. It can include various activities from conducting field work in the Yorkshire Dales to going underground and viewing the local rock formations from a unique perspective at the White Scar cave.
One other visit we recommend is to the Rotunda Museum which is home to an enormous collection of fossils and minerals but also covers some history about British Geology. There are many benefits to taking a tour in North Yorkshire from its easy accessibility to the rich selection of activities which you can take part in.
