About this tour
Rome, once the centre of one of largest empires in human history, is an ideal destination to visit when studying the Romans.
From museums to ruins there is a large variety of visits and activities you can do from covering all areas of Roman life to specific areas such as its military we are able to include visits to target the areas you wish to cover. The city has several well-preserved ruins from this period which will help your students imagine how it once was.
One of the city’s most iconic ruins is the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built and one of the new 7 wonders of the world.

Sample Itinerary
We recommend a minimum 3-night, 4-day Itinerary. As we tailor make each itinerary, we can create an itinerary perfect for you from the length of the tour to the activities and visits.
- Day 1: Fly direct to Rome, start your tour learning about the city’s history from the last 2,000 years with a visit to Welcome to Rome, a multimedia experience taking you on a journey through the ages.
- Day 2: The morning will start with a visit to Musei Capitolini, a group of museums with collections of art and artefacts dating back to the Roman period. In the afternoon you will get to explore some of Rome’s ancient ruins and architecture. The first visit is to Palatine Hill the centre most out of Seven hills of Rome you will receive a guided tour around the ruins. The next visit is a guided tour round the Roman forum once the centre of day-to-day life in the city. The last visit of the day is to the iconic symbol of Rome, the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built, take a tour round the impressive ruins.
- Day 3: Start the day with a guided visit to the microstate of Vatican City located in west part of the city. The visit will include stops at the Vatican museums, Saint Peter’s Square, Saint Peter’s Basilica, and the Sistine chapel. The afternoon will include guided tours around Mercati di Traiano – Museo dei Fori Imperiali and Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini. The last visit of the day is to the Pantheon one of the best of all preserved ancient roman buildings and is now used as a church.
- Day 4: Depending on flight times, free time to explore could be used to visit attractions such as the Trevi fountain and Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
Groups can also do day trips to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius.
